We have a rifle version listed for 2260, Discovery, Maximus and similar models, those require a shorter trigger frame screw which is included in that listing.
This is a compact version of our MAGNUM ADJUSTER for Crosman 2240, 2250, 2300T, 2300S, 2300KT, 2400KT and similar CO2 models. It's made of 6061-T6 aluminum anodized black with a 360 brass guide screw.
It requires a 3/16" hex wrench or bit (not included) to adjust it.
The adjustment range is wide enough to produce maximum power, maximum shot count or the precise level of performance you want anywhere in between.
You can change the hammer spring by backing the adjuster knob all the way out.
It allows you to adjust for more power when you need it or more shots when power is not critical. At minimum power it produces about 175 shots from a 12 gram cartridge, at full power about 25 shots. Minimum power is generally 250-350 FPS depending on barrel length.
Maximum power is generally 525-650 FPS with longer barrels producing the higher numbers. In hot temps even more power is produced because CO2 increases in pressure as it gets warmer. Using more striker spring tension reduces shot count but produces more power up to a certain point. Too much tension can waste CO2 without producing extra power. This adjuster can also be used to help balance performance due to temperature changes.
It holds it's position well, the fine threads keep it from creeping. The purpose of the locking collar on the full-size version is to keep the knob from turning if you bump or rub against it.
