Syracuse, N.Y — Syracuse police are looking for a robbery suspect who managed to make off with $33,000.
On Thursday around 7:10 p.m. police responded to a fight turned robbery call at a business on the 1100 block of East Fayette Street, said Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Police.
The suspect showed up and started to fight a man coming out of a business with a backpack, Coffey said. The man received non-life-threatening injuries to his knee and hand during the incident, he said.
The man was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital for his injuries.
The suspect managed to get away with the man’s backpack which had $33,000 inside, Coffey said.
